WHAT MICONAZOLE NITRATE CREAM IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
Miconazole nitrate cream contains a topical antifungal agent. “Topical” means that it is put on the skin. Miconazole nitrate cream is used to treat skin infections such as athlete’s foot , jock itch, ringworm and other fungal skin infections like candidiasis.
This medication is also used to treat pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of neck, chest, arms or legs.
