WHAT NYSTATIN OINTMENT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
This ointment contains Nystatin as the active ingredient. Nystatin belongs to a group of medicines called anti-fungal antibiotics. Nystatin ointment is used in treatment of skin candidoses and other fungal skin infections like candidiasis. This medication is also used to treat pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of neck, chest, arms or legs.
